A new life for The Grand Hall

Curated by the artist himself, this show captures the natural and spiritual essence of the landscape of the Bay of Pollença, with a special focus on the iconic figure of the Pi de Formentor pine tree. Potter portrays trees and plants with a sensibility that transcends mere observation, inviting the viewer to connect deeply with nature and to discover the serenity and majesty of these Mediterranean landscapes. Each image reveals an intimate story, a silent dialogue between man and nature, presenting the timeless beauty of trees in their natural setting.

At the birthplace of the poet Miquel Costa i Llobera in Pollença, visitors could enjoy a notable group exhibition organised by Galeria Maior. The show brought together a selection of artists with a special connection to Pollença and Mallorca, offering a diverse, plural view through their creations. The exhibition featured works by Amador, Broto, Joan Cabrer, Joan Cortés, Olimpia Velasco, Joël Leick, Victoria Encinas and Pedro Calapez, each with a unique artistic voice. Through a visual dialogue, the show explored themes such as nature, culture and introspection, forging deep connections with the land and with contemporary sensibility.

Can Costa offered a unique experience through small-format concerts, where the closeness between artists and audience created a special atmosphere. Each performance was an exclusive opportunity to enjoy music in an intimate, authentic way. On this occasion, Dies Malalts brought together Miquel Costa i Llobera's poems set to music with the songs of Josep Pere Peyró, exploring themes such as nostalgia, sadness and life's difficult moments. Thanks were extended to all attendees for their participation in the evening.

On 3 May 2025, the Grand Hall welcomed Quartet Ánima, made up of violinists Manel Barrios and Marc Nogués, violist Jorge Pérez and cellist Miriam Jiménez. Specialising in a repertoire spanning the Baroque to contemporary music, the quartet performed Johann Sebastian Bach's The Art of Fugue, Joseph Haydn's String Quartet Op. 33/1 and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's String Quartet Op. 80.

On 5 July 2025, the Grand Hall hosted an opera concert by tenor Antonio Aragón, trained at the Conservatory of Palma and a member of Jordi Savall's La Capella Reial de Catalunya, accompanied on piano by Jesús López. The programme included Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe song cycle, songs by Eduard Toldrà and Francesco Paolo Tosti's Quatro canti d'Amaranta.

On 6 September 2025, Trio Boix & Auró closed the Grand Hall's concert season. This ensemble, dedicated to reviving the Central European tradition of Harmoniemusik from the 18th and 19th centuries using period instruments, is made up of oboist Josep Tatay and clarinetists Silvia Insa and Rafael Caldentey. The programme brought together trios by J. Reitter, François Devienne and Ignaz Pleyel.
